It almost happened. Angelina Jolie nearly knocked Brad Pitt right off a motorcycle – in a cameo role for Salt. According to USA Today Angelina said that she really wanted him to step in for the very brief appearance in her movie but the timing didn’t work.
Via Digital Spy:
“He was almost going to be the motorcycle guy that I knocked down, and then he’d call me a bad name,” Jolie commented. “But he was with the kids that day, and we couldn’t work it out.”
That would have been so much fun, even if it was just a few seconds on-screen. With Brad’s love of motorcycles it would have been the perfect cameo!
Oh well, maybe in a sequel some day.

By the way, Digital Spy used one of my pet peeves; they said Brad couldn’t film the role because he was “babysitting” the children. When will people learn that it’s not babysitting when it’s your own kids?! Taking care of someone else’s children is babysitting. Taking care of your own is called parenting. Why do people say that about fathers? It drives me nuts, especially when people say it about my husband. Augh!

I agree with you Sherry, it is a very poor choice of words. I think some time in the future we will see them on screen again together.
Sigh….that would have been fun to watch. Although it’s very possible this could have a sequel or two and then he would have a chance of making a cameo appearance. Especially if the kids are all a bit older by then it wouldn’t be so challenging to find the time. I cannot wait until the 23rd to see Salt!
You know, I was just thinking that this also proves how wrong people are when they make their snarky statements about how the Jolie-Pitt kids are raised by nannies. If that were true then Brad wouldn’t have had any trouble with running off to the set to film the part.
However, he couldn’t actually arrange a way to be there because there was no one else to care for the kids at that time, so it didn’t work out.
Sherry, you are 100% correct. Perhaps grandma & grandpa Pitt weren’t able to fit it into their schedule to babysit, which is why she said the timing was off. If the grandparents aren’t available, then you can’t just leave the kids alone. But I would volunteer to babysit for those adorable tots so that Brad & Angie could film together. I raised 4, so I’ve got a little bit of experience in that arena, LOL.

Just heard on Entertainment Tonight that Angelina Jolie or Catherine Zeta-Jones are up for the role of Elizabeth Taylor in a movie based upon the recent book “Furious Love”. Definitely Angie should get the role, even though I also like Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Dads babysitting their own children!! THIS MUST BE ADDED TO THE EVERGROWING LONG LIST OF ‘NON-POLITICAL CORRECTNESS’(non-PC) – what it’s called in the UK whenever there’s some underlying prejudice in what people say casually!
Also, how easy it is for us to spot the hyprocracy in what the media site as ‘truth’ about the JPs- ‘they have nannies to care for the kids all/most of the time’. Pah!! And all for the purpose of selling their ‘copy’; it’s hateful! But goes to show how most of us are discerning and can always work-out what the truth is (even if we never get to talk and mix with the JP family). Thank goodness for intelligence and fair-mindedness!!

I don’t think it was a child care issue. They travel with nannies. I think she meant he was “with the kids” in a more meaningful way… like he had plans to do something special with them when that scene came around, and it wasn’t worth missing out on.

Wow, Salt RC and premiere, Brad filming Moneyball, Angie going to Comic-Con, so many opportunities to see this fabulous couple. These are the people the up-and-coming starlets and young actors should be looking up to and emulating. I would love the opportunity to spend time talking with them (especially Angelina) and get to know them better than just through interviews. Alas, I don’t run in quite the same circles as they do. Maybe I should start a new career as a journalist and become their personal go-to interviewer, lol?

I think right now BULISEYE indicates $35-40 mil opening weekend box office for Salt. It will be larger 1 week later and may predict $40-45mil next weekend.

Sherry – I sooo agree with you! Taking care of your own children shouln´d by any mean to be called “babysitting” but parenting. Brad is a wonderful and responsible father who most certainly loves to take care of his own children. He and Angie certainly have nannies but sure love to take care of their children and use the nannies only when they really need them. Like when they have to go out for a premiere or whenever they want to go out for a romantic night out.
OT: Angie is in Ghana now! wow! she’s so busy with promoting SALT yet she still has time for her humanitarian work.. Love her!

Angelina Jolie, Kenny G, others finally arrive in Ghana
The UN delegates comprising Hollywood star actress Angelina Jolie, her manager Jeffery Sachs, John McArthur and other high profile personalities have been spotted in town, the GhanaCelebrities.com reports.
They are in town to attend a private event which has been put together by UBI and UNDP in a secret location in town. The event is strictly by invitation. Proceeds from the event is will be use to cater for underprivileged villages in Ghana. But why would anybody want to mark such a commendable event on the quiet ?
It is so intriguing that, even though Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Kenny G command a lot of respect and have huge fan-base in Ghana, their presence in the country is under low publicity. It is unfortunate that the organizers did not take advantage of their stardom to boost up this event.

I was thinking of the same thing, although it would have been really fun to watch him in Salt, I think it’s very sweet of him putting their children before a film scene. Of course there’s nothing wrong at all with having nannies and other people look after your children, but somehow it gets thrown out of proportion when it’s Brangie. Lovely parents!
Angie and Brad were obviously more than ready for the responsibilities and joys of parenthood, biological or adopted. They’re simply too happy and settled to care about snarky remarks. Love the family.

My dtr said that many say that Angie is raising Shi to be a boy! Told her not so, that she is just a tomboy and they r just letting her express herself. That it would be wrong to do otherwise.
