I’m still frantically trying to catch up on what’s going on with Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and the Jolie-Pitt kids. As we know, Brad is hard at work filming World War Z. I’m anxious to read the book before seeing the movie. It’s next in line on my Kindle if I ever manage to stop packing for this move long enough to finish my current read!
While filming, Brad has had some family visits on set in between dealing with zombies. First he was visited by Angelina, Zahara, and Shiloh.
A little later in the week Pax came by to see Brad in action. Now all we need is Maddox to swing by the set. I’m sure that Knox and Vivienne would love to see their dad at work too but I guess it would depend on how they would react to any possible actors-turned-zombies that might be filming.

Hopefully soon I will be back on a normal update schedule. Between packing, purging, stressing out, trying to see family and friends, and dealing with the sad news I wrote about on my own blog, I’ve been worn right down to my last nerve and that nerve is twitchy! I must say I really do like Brad’s look in this movie. I like his hair, I love the scruff (it’s not really what I’d call a full-on beard, it’s just “I’m too busy escaping zombies to find my razor” to me!), and I am a huge fan of a scarf on pretty much anyone.

Sherry, I’m always fascinated by the opening picture(s) you choose for posts. You never pick the most beautiful/cute ones but rather the ones that look more candid and less likely to be chosen for a magazine cover.
Is that intentional or does it just have to do with getting the proper permission to post certain pictures?
Either way, I always have fun thinking of what pics you’ll choose if I’ve seen them posted somewhere else first.

“I’m too busy escaping zombies to find my razor” – I love it! Anyway, I especially love the pictures of Zee and Shi. I especially love the first picture, were Zee appears to be pointing at something that she clearly finds hilarious (I wonder if it was one of the actors-turned-zombies. Zee is old enough to know that the “zombies” are really just ordinary people in heavy make-up, masks, prosthetics, and whatever else, and actors in full monster-alien-zombie-whatever make-up DO tend to look pretty comical chilling between takes! I always get a good laugh when I see images of that on DVD special features!).
I also love how, in other pictures from that set, Zee appears to have said something that made her crack up….but took Angie a bit by surprise (Angie’s looking like, “Zee, I can’t believe you just said that to your sister!”). Miss Zee seems to be a very funny girl. I still crack up whenever I think about when Brad was on Oprah on 2008 and told about how Zee had tricked him into smelling dog doo (if you get my drift! I don’t want to say the actual word, as I’m afraid that may land this comment in mod-land!)!
I used to think that Zee would grow up to be a model, but now I’m changing my mind. It won’t surprise me a bit if Zahara Jolie-Pitt grows up to be a stand-up comedienne!

Oh Sherry, I am so sad for you and your family. But I understand the decision you had to make. At least Winnie will be with someone that will love her. Life sometimes is very difficult. You and your family are making a change that I am sure you all will love. Good luck to all of you. Also, we all know that once you arrive in Halifax that you will have alot to do. We will be here waiting for you. God be with you on your trip.

The news about making a big deal out of the same restaurant that BP went with AJ recently in Malta and to his ex in the past, is just ridiculous. I mean, can people not go anymore to the places where you went with your former GF/BF/spouse?!
Is there some exclusive ownership or right of a certain establishment for the former relationships, that the present relationship can’t enjoy anymore. How silly logic is that?
For average people like me, can I not go to a moviehouse, malls or beaches where my significant other & his ex happened to go to in the past? Or can’t my niece study to the same university where the former girlfriend of her boyfriend also happen to study too?
I wonder where this thinking come from. This kind of way of life is simply a manifestation of INSECURITY & IMMATURITY.
The important thing is how meaningful & significant was your time for each other regardless of the places where you go to. it’s the moments of love you spend with your partner, not for display. It’s the beautiful memories you create with each other.

If Angie and Brad being at the same restaraunt that Brad went to with JA when he was in Malta filming Troy (by the way, I had thought that JA wasn’t with him while was in Troy, but was elsewhere. Guess I was wrong.) means anything, it’s simply that Brad really likes that restaraunt! 
And while I don’t know if this is what the media is implying or not, it’s completely unfair to expect Angie and Brad to avoid every single tiny little thing that might somehow be connected to JA so as to avoid any chance of hurting her.
It’s been six years now, and Angie and Brad cannot live their lives according to what Brad did or did not do with his ex!
Ami- You’re right! In pictures of Angie with her dad when she was little, she IS usually hanging onto him somehow. I have to admit that confuses me, though. Hasn’t Angie said that she didn’t really have a relationship with her dad as a kid? Yet pictures of her with him seem to show otherwise! Any thoughts? In any case, Shi is indeed like Angie was with her dad as a kid. At least Shi doesn’t have to worry about her parents hurting her the way Jon hurt Angie (don’t get me wrong, I’m glad they reconciled. But I still don’t have particularly fond feelings for Jon after the way he treated his ex-wife and kids!). I can’t see either one of them doing that!

Oscar-winning actress, sex symbol, mother, Brad Pitt’s ‘other half’, icon… humanitarian. Angelina Jolie tells Herman Grech she wants to make herself “useful”.
A row of arms stretch through the bars inside Lyster Barracks detention centre hoping to brush against one of the world’s most glamorous stars.
Angelina Jolie stops in her tracks to grab the hand of a male African migrant, eliciting loud cheers, catcalls, and broad white smiles from the detainees. With a comforting smile, the 36-year-old actress chats with the man for a few seconds, who then turns to acknowledge the approving shoulder pats of the other migrants… and some soldiers.
Wearing a black cardigan and her hair pulled back, Jolie proceeds to a room where the atmosphere is altogether subdued. She holds a private meeting with seven detainees who narrate the horror they witnessed in the Libya uprising followed by the treacherous journey at sea before they were rescued and taken to Malta.
Scores of migrants scramble outside the room to catch a glimpse of the beautiful woman who has established herself as one of the most talented actresses of her generation, and in the process became the most sellable face of the UN refugee agency.
Four African women giggle as Jolie proceeds to walk up the stairs towards their quarters. One of them points to a double-sided foolscap where the words ‘Welcome AJ – We Love You’ are scribbled and emblazoned in a heart. A short, stocky woman holding a teddy bear stares in disbelief at the excitement gripping a centre which has more in common with a prison.
As Jolie walks away from the detainees, after listening attentively to the story of a woman who lost a relative at sea, a group of women behind bars burst into tears as they plead for help. Grabbing the hand of one, Jolie’s eyes also well up.
The actress decided to pay an unannounced visit to the detention centre to hear the stories of refugees who fled Libya and to relay a message of hope. It’s what she has been doing for 10 years as the UNHCR’s goodwill ambassador, and with the Arab uprising mobilising tens of thousands, she is working on overdrive.
“I didn’t get a thorough education at school of what it was like to be a refugee. But then I read about the work of UN agencies and NGOs and was struck when I saw a picture of a refugee exodus.
“I couldn’t believe there were millions of displaced people in the world who were fleeing,” she tells The Sunday Times.
Jolie came into direct contact with refugees in her early 20s when she visited Cambodia. She spent two years travelling with them and two years later offered herself as UNHCR goodwill ambassador because of what she described as a genuine deep love and respect for the organisation and its staff.
She donated $1 million for Afghan refugees and insisted on covering all costs related to her missions and shared the same rudimentary working and living conditions as UNHCR field staff on all of her visits.
She has visited more than 20 countries since, from Costa Rica to the bloody environs of Sierra Leone and Iraq, where contrary to her on-screen characters, real bullets whizz past.
“I love spending time with refugees because they teach you so much about life,” she says, adjusting herself on the unglamorous steel bench inside the Armed Forces of Malta lecture room, looking disarmingly natural.
The interview takes place just hours after Jolie flew in from a refugee camp on the Syrian border to re-join her family, temporarily based in Malta where her actor husband Brad Pitt is shooting a film.
Do refugees, most of whom come from impoverished and far-flung countries, know who she is?
“I think most people know I’m ‘that’ woman who works with the UNHCR. They’re very happy that I go meet them and it makes me feel good. It makes me feel I have friends around the world. They know I’m somebody who cares about their situation. I don’t think most of them have seen (my) films,” she smiles.
Juggling a demanding film career, a busy travel schedule, UNHCR commitments and six children in tow seems to be perfectly manageable for the woman who had her fair share of widely-publicised drug and relationship problems in the past.
“This morning Brad went to work on a film. I had breakfast with the kids, went swimming, completed my speech for World Refugee Day and now I’m here. When you’re fortunate to love what you do, when you have a very good partner, strong friends and family, and you’re given an opportunity… it all depends what you do with it,” she says.
And today she is determined to drive the message home that the millions who have left their belongings and fled to neighbouring countries in the wake of the Arab uprising are not doing so capriciously.
“It’s very emotional to do an interview right after meeting these people,” she confesses, her pensive look more in common with the distraught mother she played in Changeling rather than the sexy Lara Croft and Salt characters she has chiselled on screen.
“You meet with so many people in this job. (This morning) I met a woman whose sister died in her arms at sea because the boat engine broke down and they were forced to drink sea water. I met a woman who had a miscarriage on board during the voyage and she was bleeding… she couldn’t get to a doctor. She began to cry. Her husband across the table began to cry as well,” she narrates.
These same migrants have now been placed in detention camps until their refugee application is processed – and their only crime is to flee from a country where they risked being persecuted or shot and move to a country where freedom prevails, Jolie says.
“The people (in detention) here didn’t commit a crime. They sleep, they wake up, and they’re allowed outside for an hour,” she says.
Placing refugees behind bars and putting men in handcuffs when they need to go to hospital only helps to fuel the misconception they are criminals – it is no wonder asylum seekers are often called illegal immigrants. The 1951 Refugee Convention makes it very clear that refugees have every right to travel without documents.

Still, the goodwill ambassador quickly adopts a diplomatic tone not to upset the host country and says the general feeling among migrants she met is that they are very grateful to Malta to have been allowed on shore.
“We spoke with the Maltese government. The UNHCR and myself are grateful to Malta and the Maltese people for giving what they can. The army here has saved thousands of lives over the years and should be commended for that.
“At the same time, we will always encourage better conditions, the speed in processing applications. These are people like all of us who not only want to be out of a barred area but want a chance to work and send money back to their families at home. They feel they’re sitting idle, and with every passing month they’re here they’re losing touch with their future…
“Even the Maltese government acknowledges it would be important and humane to give them something to focus on and clear their mind.” The UN ambassador says she is encouraged to hear the local authorities talking about building educational, recreational and physical programmes for migrants.
She dismisses suggestions that the majority of those fleeing Africa are merely economic migrants in search of a better life.
Organisations like the UNHCR work meticulously with governments to identify the illegal migrants from those who need protection, those in danger of being killed if they returned home, she says.
None of the migrants Jolie met last Sunday said they had intended to move to Europe. “Some of the ones I spoke to have been in Libya for 15 years and they’ve been sending money home because they couldn’t make a living in their home country. So they went to Libya, which they described as the heart of Africa, and worked for a pittance. Now it’s blown up.”
Asked whether she believes the Western world is downplaying the gravity of the Arab refugee crisis, she says the international community is clearly not doing enough, although she is quick to exonerate Malta.
“I think Malta should be separated because it’s been doing quite a lot. I think the international community should give more support. People are running for their lives. It’s a very unusual time. Absolutely everyone should be doing more – and better.”
Refugees are not the kind of people one should turn away from, she says, describing them as hard-working, strong individuals who love the community.
Admitting her reluctance to give interviews about asylum seekers because of misinterpretations which could inflame situations, Jolie says it is up to the media and governments to educate citizens to realise refugees are no threat.
After 20,000 refugees poured into neighbouring Italy from the uprising in Tunisia and Libya, Italian Home Minister Roberto Maroni said Italy was alone in suffering a negative impact because as long as there are bombs, refugees will flee and need assistance.
Does she think politicians should be more careful with the language they use?
“Yes, politicians should be more careful. The people who are really suffering are the refugees, the children who are being killed, and not the countries who are questioning the numbers they should permit – those are not the victims. We’re going to Lampedusa and the authorities there should be proud for saving these good people. Why focus on the negative?”
During her recent visit to the Syrian border, in particular, it was very clear that people were not fleeing simply in search of a better life, but because the conflict was endangering lives.
Children in Syria told the UNHCR ambassador they saw bombs hit their houses, their brothers being shot. “It was a group of kids speaking honestly. Why should they lie?” she asks rhetorically.
“There’s a lot of fear of the unknown. There are a lot of people who don’t know other cultures and communities. And there are politicians and irresponsible journalists who decide to use this situation to put the blame on someone else and I think it’s very irresponsible.
“It causes hatred. It doesn’t give these people the chance to do the good things they could do. And people very rarely read the positive things refugees do – or listen to their wonderful stories.”
The problem is not just exclusive to Europe, Jolie insists, saying she finds it very difficult to comprehend arguments in her native US where the very nature of immigrants is questioned.
“For heaven’s sake, the Statue of Liberty is meant to symbolise the willingness of the US to open its doors. It’s very strange to hear this idea that an immigrant is a negative thing.”
While based in Malta for the next few weeks, and so close to the developing Arab revolution, Jolie intends to use her celebrity to raise awareness, despite the bad reputation of Hollywood liberals and their political posturing.
In reality, her visit to the Malta migrant centre was kept under the media radar, away from the scrutiny that has dogged her personal and public life since winning a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for playing a mental patient in the 1999 film Girl, Interrupted.
Jolie has got the looks, the career, the man, the talent, the money, and half a dozen children, three adopted. How does she reconcile the real-life poverty she experiences in her ambassador role with the glamour of cinema, especially when she returns to the film set?
“I live my life every day. I wake up as a mum, that’s who I am and that’s my focus. And then I’m a citizen of the world and I want to do my part to be useful.
“And then a very distant third I’m an artist who has been very fortunate to do a successful job that I find very creative and fulfilling. But that’s not why I wake up in the morning.”
As her assistant taps her watch to remind her of the plane waiting to fly her to the refugee camps in Lampedusa, Jolie is asked about the values she teaches her children.
“I try to teach them about the world instead of trying to teach them values by numbers or by telling them something is good or bad. I try to show them, I travel with them, teach them how they should interact and how to respect people.
“Thanks to travelling, they’ve made friends all over the world. They’ve seen many different ways of living and I hope by just being aware of the world as it really is they will be better people.”

joliepittfanatic – one must forgive although not forget. Angie bless her soul, she was always hanging onto Jon somewhere when she was little. Their relationship was a difficult one as she was growing up to be an independent thinker. He was not a good husband while he was married but he did have some struggles in his career & had problems with child maintenance but he did try his best to be a ‘present’ father to his children. Marcheline was a real angel in bringing up two great kids. Everyone has got to let the past be the past & move on. I am so happy for Angie after seeing what their family has gone through! Brad and her children love her & that is her life, a good one too, may they continue to prosper in love, kindness & generosity and their humanitarian work never wear them out.

I also noticed that, at the beginning of the interview, they call Angie “Brad Pitt’s other half”, and then at the end (or at least the end of the part you posted), they call Brad her husband. To me, that’s proof that most media outlets are having a hard time figuring out how to refer to them in relation to each other, which is why they often say “husband” or “wife”.
And speaking of the issue of marriage, I was at the supermarket yesterday and caught a glimpse of the latest issue of Out of Touch in the check-out line (I try not to even look at tab covers these days, since I figure I don’t need to waste my time with them! But in this case I happened to catch a glimpse as I was looking at something else!). They’re claiming that Angie and Brad had a secret wedding in France.
I don’t know about you guys, but I’d love to know how Out of Touch thinks that Angie and Brad just got married in France when Brad has been quite busy filming WWZ in Malta for the past few weeks (I realize that Malta probably isn’t that long of a plane ride away from France, but the point is that Brad’s been too busy working- we’ve even seen photographic evidence of him working weekends!- to go ANYWHERE right now!)!
And really, why do the tab always seem to think that, if Angie and Brad marry, they’ll marry in France? I mean, yes, they love France and they seem to love their home there. But there are plenty of other places that are very important to them as well (for example, I could see them getting married in one of the three older kids’ birth countries, in Brad’s birthplace of Shawnee, Oklahoma, in Missouri, or any number of places that are special to them!).
That being said, though, what makes me chuckle the most is that what’s fueling the recent wedding rumors (I’ve seen a few others recently as well) is what Brad said about how marriage is meaning more and more to the kids and so it’s something he and Angie need to explore. Newsflash to the tabs, that DOESN’T automatically mean that there is a wedding in their immedite future!

You reminded me Brad’s Mr.O’Brien in The Tree of Life. I have not seen the movie yet but have read several reviews and what I imagined was Mr.O’Brien was Jon Voight and Mrs.O’Brien was Marcheline. Neither Mr.O’Brien nor Voight are bad people. They loved their children in their own way but their way just did not meet with their children’s needs. Voight was not physically absent from all her childhood but she may felt he was emotionally distant from her.
I think “father figure ” was what Angie’s needy young soul had been seeking when she was younger. She was “father hungry”. It is something looking for God who teaches how to live or teaches how to be strong etc. She had conqured her neediness once she realized there are more suffering people in the world and when she started giving. It’s a soul searching personal journey and she has succeeded to integrate her inner “animus” with “anima” in phychiatrist Carl G. Jung’s psychological words.
I also wanted to mention something else I’ve been thinking about since yesterday, that was prompted (my thinking about it, I mean) by the cover of the latest issue of Ugh Weakly (like with Out of Touch, I caught a glimpse of it in the check out despite my best efforts!). The main cover story is about JA and her new man, and the last line on the cover is the question: “But did she pull an Angelina to get her man?”. Obviously, they are referring to how there is speculation that JA’s new guy was still married when they hooked up.
Now, I’m not going to go into the tab story any further, because frankly, I don’t care about it. I only said as much as I did so you’d have some general idea of what spurred my thoughts. Anyway, what I’ve been wondering is this: Why has Angie become the poster girl for homewr*ck*rs and husband-stealing (nevermind the fact that all three involved are on record saying she WASN’T one of those and the fact that people can’t be stolen!)?
What I mean is, she is hardly the first actress to hook up with her significant other in the manner she did (nor will she be the last, by a long shot!). Julia Roberts and Laura Dern are just two examples of other actresses that have hooked with their spouses that way (well, ex-spouse in Laura’s case. I read somewhere, I think it was in PEOPLE, that Laura and her husband divorced a few months back.). Not only that, but if I’m remembering correctly, their husbands actually DID cheat on their then-wives with them (either they admitted it or else it got proved another way. I can’t remember exactly).
AND, in Laura’s case, her husband (well, ex-husband now) had at least one young child (I can’t remember if it was one child or two) with his then-wife when they hooked up (the wife may have even still been pregnant at the time. And it may even have been TWO children that they had together. Again, I don’t remember for sure). That, in my opinion, makes it even worse.
Also, look at all the MALE celebs that have hooked up with their significant others while either they or the siginificant other (or both, in some cases!) were still married to someone else!
Yet for some reason, it seems to be only Angie that is villified for beaing a homewr*ck*er and a husband-stealer (among female celebs, that is. I realize that quite a few people have very choice words to say when talking about some of the male celebs that have been involved in something like that!). You virtually never hear the tabs calling Julia, Laura, or any other female celeb that hooked up with their significant other the way Angie did a homewr*ck*er and a husband-stealer (and this despite the fact that most of them actually DID have an affair with a married man and the fact that there were children involved in a few cases!).
And the way Julia, Laura, et. al got together with their husbands (or ex-husbands) is almost never mentioned in articles about them, whereas it that part of Angie’s life is quite frequently mentioned in articles about her, especially when the article involves comments she and/or Brad have recently made in regards to marriage. Furthermore, Angie is the only one who seems to be compared to the woman her siginificant other was with when she met him (I realize that the Julia’s husband’s ex-wife isn’t a celeb- he isn’t either, for that matter- and if I’m remembering correctly, Laura Dern’s now ex-husband’s previous ex-wife isn’t a celeb either. So I’m sure that has a lot to do with it! But I’m not talking just about them, but about ALL female celebs who ended up with their significant others similar to the way Angie ended up with hers).
Anyone have any idea why this is? Why has the media made Angie, as I said before, the poster girl for homewr*ck*rs and husband-stealers? Is it because of her past? Because she seems to “have it all” and the media is jealous? Or for a different reason?

I think the deep psychology of media’s way of description and some people’s perception rooted in male-centered society. Among uncountable women who died at the stake as labelled as “witch” during Dark Age, there were also the women who had incredible fortune or unbeliebable beauty or someone who has mysterious power. People regarded them they used Satan’s power. Fear toward women’s incredible power caused enormous cruelity toward women. And those memory still alive in people’s DNA. It was hundreds years ago but still alive in people’s deep consciousness or unaware consciousness.
Those people want someone as a scapegoat and the scapegoat must be someone who threaten their conventional idea. The person must be extraordinary. Laura Dern is too ordinary looking to be attacked. Julia Roberts has
something extraordinary and some people attack her as the same reason as Angie was labelled.
When people critisize other people, their words reveal critics’s inner
selves more than people’s who are criticized. It reveals their hidden agenda and their true color.
In some other society, the powerful women were symbolized as Goddess. They existed in pre-Christianity Europe. Goddess image still alive in some
polytheism society. Cleopatra lived when women had equal power as men in Egypt and it was disgusting thing in male-centered Rome.
Sunny you always give me food for thought. JPF I think that the biggest thing Angie had against her father was his cheating on her Mom. Some daughters have a real hard time dealing with that. I have seen it in my own personal life.

jpf: i have asked myself the same question and always ended with: because people are cruel. plus i think the reason why Angie is the only female celeb branded with that term is because it happened while filming MMS and everyone could witness them falling in love. the chemistry between the two was obvious and all three of the parties involved are famous. in case of Julia for example, her (now) husband and his ex-wife were quite unknown by most so it didn`t stirr that much attention. but its all just a guess….i don´t know….
i tend to ignore it….nobody can change it. i try to focus on the positive things: actress, mother, partner, humanitarian, role model and all the things that makes Angie so precious to us.

Great piece in Huffington Post. I was interested to read the discussion in this website about why Angelina is so demonised. I think those referring to our culture’s fear of strong women has a lot to do with it, but I think there are also some specifics in this story. I think JA has done quite a bit to keep the story alive, for her own reasons. In the world of celebrities-as-archetypes, she seems very happy to be the “wronged-woman”. She has certainly never been quoted, that I have seen, to refute that view of her role. So instead of a story of a relationship breaking down and a new relationship starting, you have the fantasy of a perfect union being destroyed by an intruder.
I think also the extraordinary charisma of Brad and Angie, and their fearless decision to lead lives out of the standard for actors (loads of travel, large family, adoption as well as birth-children, working on charity projects outside America as well as in…) has not only drawn admiration but also a mean spirited “they can’t be that good/beautiful, there must be something wrong”. We want our famous people to be successful and failures, beautiful and flawed – we want a soap opera not real life.
I felt for Nicole Kidman when Tom left to be with Penelope Cruz. Tom didn’t seem to lose any star power then at all even though they had kids and Brad and JA didn’t. He did, however, when he also took a step out of the norm through his championing of his quasi-religious group and his “uncool” declaration of love for Katie. While I don’t have much time for him personally, I think the backlash was the same in many ways as Angie experiences. There seems to be a desire on behalf of many people to keep famous people in a pretty narrow box: attractive but not too beautiful, zero body fat but only thin through deprivation, mainly concerned with acting and being famous rather than any other contribution to the world or having opinions outside Hollywood, periodically experiencing heartbreak and disappointment for us all to watch – neither Brad nor Angelina seem to want to play ball. And good luck to them!

Lisa- Thanks for the link! For the rest of you, I recommend just looking at the pictures and NOT reading the article. In typical Daily Mail style, the article contains snark towards Angie. One thing they said (in regards to possible reasons for Angie to have chosen to wear a wet suit) is: “The Changeling star has been criticised recently for being incredibly thin and her lack of body fat could be making her more susceptible to the cold.” Uh, newsflash, Daily Mail, we don’t know that Angie has a “lack of body fat”!
And really, when will the media figure out that Angie has ALWAYS been on the thin side. Even during her pregnancies, she gained mostly in the belly. Her arms and legs stayed pretty much the same. The only time that she has been heavier all over is when she was filming the Tomb Raider movies, and that was because she did special training to bulk up for them. But her normal body type is naturally skinny. I know Angie ignores the tabs, but I feel for her. According to the media, she is too skinny….and when she DOES appear to have gained a few pounds, she’s automatically pregnant!
The Daily Mail also claimed that Angie was being shy and “hiding” her bikini body under the wet suit. I have to admit that I wonder myself why she wore a wetsuit, but I doubt it was because she was “hiding” her body. After all, we’ve seen her in regular swimsuits before AND she hasn’t been afraid to show a lot of skin in her movies! So it’s a pretty safe bet that she’s not afraid of showing off her body!

There are good pictures of all of the kids except Viv, who was being shy and hiding her face in her mommy’s chest.
Also, there are a few pictures of Knox in his swimsuit, and a very clear picture of Mad and Pax in their swimsuits. I kind of wish we could have seen the rest of the kids in their swimsuits. It would have been cute to see if Viv has bright pink swimsuit and if Shi still prefers boys swimming trunks, for example. 
Oh, and a lot of sites are referring to Knox and Viv as three now when they talk about them, even though they won’t be three for about two weeks yet. I’ve always wondered why it is that people start referring to kids as being the next year older a few months before their birthday (in my experience, the media usually starts referring to celeb kids as the next year older up to five months before the kids’ birthday). Can anyone enlighten me? I’d appreciate it.

When I saw the first pictures coming in on Monday of Angie I knew there would be more and then we would know the real story and in the end story was they were at a sanctuary for dolphins ,seals, and birds.
I have been to one of those same places in Canada for several summers with my children and if you want to go in with seals and dolphins you have to put on a WETSUIT even the trainers wear them. So again don’t let something like the daily mail get you upset they are just trying to create a story out of a NON STORY to get hits.

This is such a nice site – thanks to Sherry and all the respectful posters. I am sorry I missed that I was going over old ground – I try to read all the comments but don’t manage to always. I’m posting from Australia so the timezone gets in the way too – things have moved on by the time I am up and ready to read, so I lose sight of long posting discussions. I do love that we can have different views but treat each other well. And we share a respect for Brad and Angie of course!
The discussion about whether media drives what is available, or whether the control is in the readers/ purchasers hands is an old, old debate and there really is no one answer, in my opinion. Of course the tabs have a market – if no one bought them they wouldn’t print the stories. On the other hand the concentration of media in fewer hands and the decent of journalism from honourable profession commenting on the times we live in to gossip and sensationalism is a tragedy. With noble exceptions of course!

Why would they (LV?) make that stupid claim, and set her up as the target for the criticism. That really steams me, because it is a very beautiful ad. ALSO, one site pointed out that the bag is out of production, so the campaign is really about brand loyalty rather than selling a product. I think that is nice. The whole campaign has been beautiful.. with all the “stars”.

During a visit to the Mediterraneo Bio Park in Malta on Monday, the stunning star opted for a much less revealing get-up in the form of a Lara Croft-worthy wetsuit as she made her way in and out of the water with Brad Pitt and the couple’s six kids.
Then again, this is a park where folks do come to interact with dolphins and other sea creatures, so choosing not to don a two-piece is totally normal.
We’ll just keep our fingers crossed for next time.
Phoebe- No offense, but that article is an old one. It’s from January 2010, and during TOL promotion, Brad confirmed that he voices a character in Happy Feet 2 (by saying that was his “next project”. Techinically, Word War Z was his next project, but maybe he just meant that Happy Feet 2 is the next film of his that will be coming out!). I’m not meaning to criticizing, just pointing out that the article you posted is about a year and a half old.

If I am not mistaken, she is the only person/ celebrity who created so much stir just by wearing a wetsuit in a recent outing with her family. She’s the headline everywhere…..she causes debates in blogs, forums, tabloids etc. just because she chose to wear something approriate for a visit in a Malta park. It’s a big news because people want to see her wear something revealing just like what most celebrities/ starlets do. But people forget she’s no ordinary moviestar. She is a thinking, no-nonsense, humanitarian, independent, talented, secured moviestar. She wears what pleases her and it’s always occasion-appropriate. She’s wearing wetsuit yet she still exudes sexiness and that’s what causes the unnecessary hullabaloo. They want to put some color out of nothing. Just a woman who was in a wetsuit. Period.

With an Academy Award, one of Hollywood’s largest paychecks, and a hunky husband, who wouldn’t want to be Angelina Jolie? Moreover, now that she’s topped nearly every publication’s sexiest women alive list, who wouldn’t want to look like Angelina? Therefore, it’s hardly surprising that Angelina is the #1 celebrity who people seeking cosmetic enhancement procedures want to look like according to a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon.
The chatter in the RealSelf forums appears to confirm this trend. Women are asking for advice on how to replicate their favorite feature of Angelina’s: RachelRobinson wants her cheekbones, tjessica wants her petite nose, and shellsbells wants her natural breast shape.
Of course, we all know the main reason women are jealous of Angelina: she goes to bed with Brad Pitt her luscious lips. Just seeing Angelina’s movie Salt made one poster long to have fuller lips. The doctors gave her a couple of options: fillers such as Juvederm or Restylane, which can plump up her lips for more than six months, or lip implants if the look is desired permanently.
More specifically, snowxrystal would like to mimic the crease Angelina has on the center of her bottom lip. Thankfully, LA facial plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Persky has a solution: “Skilled lip injectors can put filler in your lips to create the two soft pillows of Angelina’s lower lip with the ‘groove’ between them.”
So do patients really try to transform into Angelina clones? Not usually. However, “it’s not uncommon for patients to refer to a particular body part of a favorite movie star when describing their aspirations,” says Dr. Harold Kaplan, another LA facial plastic surgeon. “Many of our female patients would love to have Angelina Jolie’s lips. As a practice, we have to be very careful about selecting patients that have realistic expectations for their results.”
Beverly Hills facial plastic surgeon Dr. Behrooz Torkian echoes this sentiment. “I have had several patients bring pictures of Angelina Jolie… to request features of their cosmetic procedures to result in similar features… Inmost cases, discussions of celebrity features have helped to foster an understanding between the patient and myself regarding their ‘aesthetic ideal’, or what they consider to be beautiful.”
Dr. Torkian also notes that on occasions when a patient wants to look nearly identical to a celebrity, the results tend to be disappointing. So while there’s nothing wrong with trying to look beautiful like Angelina by copying one of her features, take it from the doctors and don’t aspire to recreate yourself as Angelina completely. You’re bound to come out looking silly — we’re looking at you, Octomom!

With that out of the way, I wonder how true that story is. I mean, it sounds like this movie is moving along quite fast (that’s mentioned in the article that PopSugar got the info from and linked to). And at this point in time, I’m not sure how Brad can even CONSIDER a movie that would start shooting any time in the near future (which I consider to be anywhere from six months or so from now to about two years or so from now), since Angie already has at least two movies in the pipeline (Cleopatra and Salt 2) as well as at least one that she has expressed a lot of interested in doing and which seems to be getting closer and closer to fruition (Maleficent).
We all know that Angie and Brad make it a point to never be working at the same time (as far as filming movies in different cities at the same time, that is. Obviously we know that often times the one who’s not filming is still techincally “working”, just not on filming a movie or, with the exception of when Brad filmed Cogan’s Trade in NOLA while Angie edited In the Land of Blood and Honey in LA, in different cities). Not only that, but since Brad will have filmed two movies pretty much back-to-back once WWZ finishes filming, it’s a pretty safe bet that it will be Angie’s turn to work next.
So I don’t see how it would work for Brad to do another film any time in the next year or so! Also, I have to admit that the idea of Brad looking at doing a movie while he’s still in the process of filming one doesn’t sit well with me. WWZ is Brad’s second movie in a matter of months, and his third (not counting his voice-over work for Happy Feet 2) in just over a year (the third being Moneyball, which he filmed last summer and early fall). Brad, you need to slow down a bit and give yourself a little breather!
I admit that sometimes I wish Brad was more like Angie when it came to films, since she seems to take things a lot slower when it comes to doing movies! I guess I’m just worried that with all the filming he’s been doing and is reported to be considering, Brad might end up forgetting one of the most important things a person can do: to take time for himself!
I also meant to say that, if Brad DOES do this film, I’m sure he and the family will be thrilled, since they’ve (particularly Angie) been very vocal about wanting to go to South America (which is where The Mission will apparently film). Oh, and I realize that I may have over-reacted a bit in my previous post. I guess maybe I’m just feeling a little confused. For awhile, Brad, like Angie, seemed to be slowing down film-wise and doing only about one movie per year. But now he seems to be speeding up a bit again.
I know that ultimately they know what’s best for themselves. Sometimes it just gets a little confusing trying to follow their logic!
Phoebe- I agree about that last sentence, even though I think they meant it in a tongue-and-cheek kind of way. I also noticed this part of the article: “Conflicting prior work commitments will prevent her from flying into Hollywood even to meet the royals.” I wonder what work commitments those are, seeing as how Angie is not working at the moment since it’s Brad’s turn to work (and I doubt the “work commitments” referred to are Brad’s filming of WWZ, since that wouldn’t prevent Angie from flying out to Hollywood for a day or two).
If I’m remembering correctly, the “Royal Visit” is going to be in August, so perhaps by then Angie will be starting promotion for In the Land of Blood and Honey or something (although that seems kind of early, since the film isn’t being released until December!).
I’m not trying to say anyone’s lying or anything like that, just that I’m curiou about what “commitments” it is that Angie has in August.

And what really makes me chuckle is that if people stopped to actually read the story of Angie, Brad, and the kids’ trip to the “water park” they’d realize that the reason Angie was wearing a wetsuit is because they were actually at a place where you go swimming with dolphins and other marine creatures. And at places like that, wetsuits are normal attire (since, among other things, they offer a bit of protection if the dolphins decide to get a little TOO friendly!).
Bottomline: You shouldn’t expect to see women wearing bikinis while swimming with dolphins!

I guess their original source was Deadline Hollywood. I already read Mike Fleming’s exclusive and it said that Brad is going to talk about ‘Mission’ project. Fleming says,
“talks are happening but no one knows if Brad will be involved or not”
This is the studio or producer’s firework to draw attention/financiers to their project. The A-list actors like Brad or Angie or etc are doing this kind of talks routinely.

It´s amazing to see how fast he has grown from that tiny little boy into a tall young man. He will be a tall young man one day and break many hearts. When I look at Viv in those water park pics I noticed one thing. She has very tall legs for a 2 1/2-year-old. She will be a tall young lady. I would like to see which one of the twins – Knox or Viv – is taller when they stand next to each other. I bet they are about the same height but it could soon be that Viv is taller than her big brother. But I´m sure that Knox is gonna be a tall and handsome young man since his dad is tall and grandpa Jon Voight is also very tall.

With that being said, here’s something I’m wondering about. Why is that we never see Angie holding both twins at once? We’ve seen Brad holding both of them at once on at least one occasion (when the three of them arrived in Budapest to join Angie and the older kids last fall), but I have never once seen a picture of Angie holding both of them at once. I doubt it’s because they’re two heavy for her to carry them both at once, since we saw her carrying Zee and Shi at the same time at the airport in South Korea last summer….and they were four and five at the time!
If Angie can carry a five and four year old at the same time, it’s a pretty safe bet she can carry two almost three year olds at the same time! It’s especially odd to me that we don’t see Angie carrying both twins at once when we used to see her carrying two kids at once all the time. She carried Zee and Pax at the same time a lot when they were younger, she carried Mad and Zee at the same time (and, in late 2005 and early 2006, with Shi in her belly at the same time!), and we’ve seen her carrying Zee and Shi at the same time a few times. So any ideas why we never see her carrying both twins at the same time? I’m curious as to what you guys think.
Some other things. I love how the whole group is dressed in blacks, whites, grays, and a pale yellow in Zee’s case…except for Miss Viv, who has to wear her pink!
It also looks like both twins are following in big sis Zee’s footsteps, as they are both still toting around their blankets.
At first I thought Shi had managed to avoid the cameras, but if you look closely at the area behind the leg of the nanny carrying Viv, you can see what appears to be a child-sized leg. That just might be Miss Shi’s leg.
Also, Mad is sporting a mohawk once again, and Knox continues to be a male version of his mommy! It’s Viv who intriges me the most, though. While she DOES obviously have some resemblence to Shi and Knox, overall she has a very different “look” to her than they do. Of the three bio J-P kids, I think Viv is the most “unique” looking (and I mean that in a good way, I assure you!). She looks very delicate and girly somehow. Not only that, but when I look at her, she looks like Brad does in pictures of him when he was younger….and somehow I find myself wonder if what Viv looks like now is similar to how Brad’s sister Julie looked as little girl.
And finally, I LOVE the fact that these days, we’re seeing Angie and/or Brad out with all six kids a lot! That used to be so rare!

I am sure it’s not indicative of anything. In retrospect, I can’t ever remember seeing any photos of her out with the twins alone. She is usually accompanied by Brad, nannies, inlaws, etc., when the twins are out and about, unlike when she has been photographed as the lone adult (except for body guards) carrying, at the same time, Zee and Shi or any combinations of the older ones (well, not Mad!) with them.
I think it more circumstance than anything else…
ITA Casi- BTW I only recall seen Brad carrying the twins once at the Budapest airport so its not like he is carrying both twins all the time and Angie never. Also I can’t recall Brad or Angie carrying two kids while the other one is there empty handed(no kids). I see the tabloid NE is now using that DS speculation on John Travolta’s son.They are disgusting.
I wonder if all 3 of the women in one of the bowling photos are their nannies. It makes me wonder how the JP machine works. There are a couple bodyguards I have seen with Angie for many years now. I’ve seen 2 of the nannies at least twice. And then there is Holly, Angie’s long-time assistant. I wonder how many people travel with them. It would be impossible to travel full-time with Brad and Angie and maintain your own personal life. I wonder how it all works and what Brad and Angie look for in the people they hire. If the staff does travel a lot with them, then they must all have become very close because they spend an awful lot of time together. I would love to learn more about the logistics of it all.
Fascinated by Angie- You have some very good points! You are right that Angie is never alone in public with the twins. Prior to the twins being out and about with the rest of the family on a regular basis, we didn’t tend to see the nannies on family outings. So naturally Angie would carry two kids at once then when she was the lone adult (minus body guards) with them.
But now one or more nannies usually accompanies Angie when she’s the sole parent out with all six kids. That actually doesn’t surprise me, though. After all, six kids are a lot for ANYBODY to handle safely on their own, especially in public (when you stop to think about, even most day cares and preschools require more than one adult for six kids!). And for Angie and Brad, I’m sure it’s probably at least ten times trickier with all the paps. So for them, it’s probably a lot safer and easier to have a nanny or two accompany Angie (and I’m sure the same would be true of Brad if he went out with all six kids without Angie) when she’s out with all six kids.
Yoco- You are right about how, when Angie and Brad are out with the kids, they generally all always both carrying a kid. Right after Pax was adopted, we saw a lot of Brad carrying both Zee and Pax while Angie carried Shi. Now, however, only the twins need to be carried on a regular basis. So naturally one carries one twin and the other the other twin.
And just to make things clear, I wasn’t trying to imply that Angie doesn’t care about the twins or any nonsense like that. I was simply curious as to why she’s never seen carrying both of them at once. Speaking of which, I’ve thought of another possible reason: Every kid has a different temperment, and maybe one or both of the twins has a tendancy to squirm and wiggle a lot, which would make it difficult to hold them both at once. The older kids, on the other hand, may have been a bit more passive when held!
Noelle- I’ve been wondering that myself. I think that the nannies, at least, do travel with them a lot, as, like I said last night, two of the nannies in the one bowling photo look to be the same two nannies whom we saw out in the backyard with Knox and Viv in Budapest (I know the one holding Viv is one of the “backyard” nannies for sure. Either that or she has an identical twin who is also a nanny for the J-Ps!
). Also, the nanny that was with the four older kids on their outing with their friends in Budapest appeared to be the same nanny as the one we saw with Angie, Knox, and Viv on the balcony in Venice.
That makes me happy, because it means that they keep the nannies consistent rather than the kids having to get used to a new set of nannies every few months!
As for Holly, my guess is that she doesn’t travel with the J-Ps full-time, since she has her own family (a husband and a daughter about the twins’ age).
Getting back to the nannies, I’ll bet they’re practically part of the family by now!
I wonder how the kids refer to them, if they just use their first names, refer to them as “Aunt________”, “Miss/Mrs.____________”, or something else entirely?!
I have a feeling the bodyguards have become like family as well, as I remember seeing a picture last year of Zee hugging one of them while grinning from ear to ear!
One other thing I wonder is about the sleeping arrangements for the nannies when they travel. Angie has said that the nannies don’t spend the night. Well, assuming they’re from the LA area or at the very least somewhere in the US, they can’t just go home at night when they’re traveling the world with the J-Ps! I’m sure that when the J-Ps stay at hotels, the nannies just have their own suites. But I wonder how the nannies not staying the night works when the J-Ps are staying at rented houses.
I wonder if the nannies have their own little house on the property, if they have a seperate “wing” of the house for themselves, or even if they stay at a nearby hotel (with all expenses paid by Angie and Brad, of course!).
Oh, and I wonder if the nannies and other staff get to go home for the holidays, or if they stay with the J-Ps even then (I’d kind of guess they get to go home, at least on Christmas and major holidays like that. The reason I think that is because Angie and Brad generally visit Brad’s family then, so they have plenty of relatives to help with the kids and the nannies can get time off!
). So many things to wonder about.

As for Sherry maybe after the holiday she will pop in, I am sure she wants to get settled before she starts her new job.

I found this article well written. I agree with the author that painting little girls nails is not a big deal. It is one of the fun things you get to do with girls as they grow. My daughter who is 14 tells me lots of things going on in her life as we paint our nails together. I am wondering if the problem here is that Vivianne is Angelina Jolie’s daughter so they had to find “something” to say…UGH!! I absolutely LOVE the photo of the twins that is with the article. Somehow I missed seeing it. They are both sooo cute.

Angelove – thnaks for the link! I don´t see anything wrong that Viv plays with nail-polish. She looks so cute with it. casi – ITAWY! The pic of the twins in the article is really wonderful. Knox and Viv both look soo cute in it. Hard to imagine that next week (July 12) they´ll be three. And I also agree with you casi about the fact that all girls play with nail polish. I used to love playing with my mum´s nail polish and lipstick that was all around my face. I find Suri with high heels much more worriesome than Viv or her sisters wearing nail polish.

The J-Ps are international and teach their kids about traditions and holidays from all over the world, and that probably includes traditions and holidays from the U.S. Angie has spoken about them celebrating Thanksgiving, which is primarily a U.S. holiday (I say “primarily” because Canadians celebrate a Thanksgiving as well, but on a different date than people here in the U.S. do), before. So if they celebrate Thankgiving, odds are they celebrate the 4th of July too.
Angelove- Thanks for the link! I love the article, and it’s nice to know that there are people out there who don’t nitpick every single thing celebs do. Sometimes it’s funny what people nitpick at, though. Yesterday I was reading an article at PEOPLE’s Moms&Babies (I don’t post there or go there on a regular basis anymore, but I do sometimes read articles there occasionally). It was about how Victoria Beckham (who’s expecting a girl within the next week or so) recently said that she likes little girls to “look like little girls”.
Of course, in the comments section, people brought up Shiloh and how they think Angie should dress her more like the little girl she is (nevermind the fact that it was pretty clear that Victoria meant that she doesn’t approve of little girls dressing like teenagers or grown women, not that she thinks most little girls look like boys and shouldn’t!).
One commentor said that Angie dresses ALL of her girls like boys and always has. That made me chuckle big time! I mean, you’d have to be blind not to notice the fact that Viv is always dressed very girly (and usually in pink!), that Zee often dresses in stylish, feminine outfits, and that Shi actually wore mostly dresses and other “girly” things until she was about 3 1/2 and could choose her own outfits (which, of course, that commentor claims she is not old enough to do!).
Not to mention the fact that Angie has repeteadly said that Shi’s style of dress is her choice! Also, last time I checked, Shi and her siblings had TWO parents, not just one! Apparently those people think Brad has no say in how his children dress!
Another thing that made me laugh was that another commentor also said that Angie dresses her “boys like girls”, obviously referring to Knox and his lady bug costume. Not only has that been the one and only time we have seen him dressed slightly “girly”, but he is the ONLY J-P boy we’ve seen dressed slightly girly. So to say that Angie dresses her boys like girls is both untrue AND a huge exageration (and once again, Brad is forgotten!)!

jpf – totally agreeing with your latest comment! You couldn´t have said it better! Shi can wear whatever she pleases and Knox can wear a lady bug costume if he wants to. That doesn´t make him any less of a boy just as Shi´s tomboy style doesn´t make her any less of a girl. Love the fact that Angie and Bard are letting their children to express themselves through their clothing.
My daughter-in-law takes my granddaughter to get her nails and toenails done since she was around 4. My son is one these very old fashion Dad’s and he does not have a problem with it. No matter what Brad and Angie do it will always be picked apart. I guess it is a good thing that they don’t let it get to them. Why should they even care what any of think anyway. Their children their lives.

Actress and model ROSIE HUNTINGTON-WHITELEY is quickly becoming known due to the success of her first major motion picture, Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The Victoria’s Secret model recently spoke about Angelina Jolie for a GQ magazine shoot and was also seen hanging with boyfriend Jason Statham.
As part of her Transformers 3 promotions, Huntington-Whiteley participated in many photo shoots for different magazines, including the British GQ for July 2011. The actress also candidly spoke to the magazine about her acting career and brought up fellow actress Angelina Jolie. Jolie is known worldwide for being Brad Pitt’s lady, an action star, Academy Award winner, and devoted mother to several children.
Rosie said of Jolie (pictured), “Would I like even a sniff of Angelina Jolie’s career? Yes. Do I think I have a future in this business? I certainly hope so. And I’m going to work damn hard to make sure I do.”
…..Speaking of Angelina Jolie, she won the Academy Award (Best Supporting Actress) for her portrayal of Lisa Rowe in 1999′s Girl, Interrupted. I just checked Daily Mail´s site and saw a story about Mad and Pax´s visit on the WWZ set. I didn´t read the story but watched the pics. There is this one really funny pic in which Pax is looking at his dad and Brad´s stand double is standing only a few feet from the father-son duo. What a shame that Pax is standing against the camera but the text under that pic says that Pax is looking at his dad with a look if it´s his dad or the stand double he´s looking at. I never read the Daily Mail articles because I consider that “newspaper” as a tabloid. Nice pics though.

Fascinated by Angie….i always tell other posters to best ignore h8ter comments, but i find it hard myself. this is the only fansite i go to today…i do look for articles and links but never linger on other sites…what Casi said about the time we live in and the way people behave is correct imo and such behaviour is hard to ignore.

i always loved Angie for the way she let her kids be themselves as individuals! already with Maddox, i remember the cool hairstyle he had shortly aft she adopted him. i really envy the kids, they have the best Mom and Dad with the best possible future. they can develop and grow up freely and thats great!
about the nailpolish i have to admit that i am no big fan of little kids using nail polish or having earrings in younger age, but thats my personal opinion and i have no problem if other people do it. its fun and no big deal.
Katie Holmes gets alot of critisism for letting Suri wear high heels – that IS really unhealthy for little kids- so i think we shouldn’t compare her to Viv.

Did anyone read Lisa Bloom’s blog post/excerpt article about Angelina Jolie from her book at Huffington Post? It’s fantastic and she hits the bull’s eye in conveying and outlining the stupidity of the media’s obsession with gossip in spite of all the incredible work Angelina has done. It’s called “Angelina Jolie and the Media Cult of the Absurd”. It furthermore highlights women’s issues in being rewarded only for their looks or maternal choices and less for their accomplishments.

Fascinated by Angie- I DIDN’T let the h8ter comments that I mentioned get to me. In fact, as I said in my post about them, they actually made me laugh because of how utterly ridiculious they are! I realize, though, that the way I talked about the comments may have made it sound like I was bothered by them, and I apologize if I confused you!
Phoebe- I agree! I think it’s great that Angie and Brad let their kids be themselves!
As for the nail polish thing, I don’t have a problem with it. I don’t have a problem with people getting their baby girls’ ears piereced, either (I personally think that’s something that should wait until a girl is a little older, but, like Phoebe I don’t have a problem with people who do decide to get their baby girls’ ears pierced).
Not only are both things fairly harmless, but it’s not like they’re permenant, either. Nail polish can easily be removed, and if a baby girl decides when she gets older that she doesn’t want to have to fuss with pierced ears, all she has to do is stop wearing earrings and the holes will grow closed.
And as far as Suri’s concerned, I see where people are coming from, but we need to remember that just as we see only a tiny fraction of the J-Ps’ lives, we also only see a fraction of the Cruises’ lives. Therefore, it’s impossible for us to know how often Suri actually wears her high heels and how long she wears them at a stretch. If she doesn’t wear them that often and only wears them for brief periods of time each time, her feet will probably be fine. But if she DOES wear them all the time and they are her primary shoes, then I agree that it’s something to be concerned about.

In regard to Angie not seen holding both of the twins at once; another reason is that in general it is usually only the twins now that need to be carried on a regular basis (due to their age), so Brad and Angie each carry one. Before the twins, the others were much younger and having four, both Angie and Brad would need to carry two.
Joliepittfanatic: I remember it was you I think that asked about an article referring to the twins as being 3 when they were still 2. I think a lot of people, (myself included in regard to my grandchildren) refer to their children or children they are talking about to the age they are closest too. The twins are almost 3, so it makes sense to refer to them as 3. There is such a development difference in a 2 year old versus a 3 year old. In writing articles you want to sometimes keep your sentences simple / short; and so saying that they are 3 tells the reader a lot (keeping in mind, that a large majority of readers, don’t know everything about the jolie pitts. If an article says they are 2, then they need to also comment that they will be 3 in a month; so in keeping it simple you just write that they are 3.
In regard to Kate Middleton; I read the article that was linked. I doubt that the article is completely accurate and factual. I would agree that Angelina would be a Hollywood actress that she admires the much. Like her and Prince William; they seem to want to live as normal as live as possible. Regardless if Angie has comittments or not when there are going to be in LA; I can’t see Angie flying back to LA just to meet them. From what I gather about Kate and William I also can’t see them expecting or wanting Angie to leave her family and fly to LA to meet them. I know that they are to be in LA this month (July), but even if it had been in August; I would have taken Angie’s committments as just being with her kids on their summer vacation.

I can see filming in South America would be intriguing for them; so if this project gets a green light and the timing is right ( and Angie’s projects that might transpire, Cleopatra, Malicient, and Salt II) are still undecided; I can see Brad going right from this movie to another one. This is just my opinion, but I can see Angie being happy and content with having Brad film, and her being with the kids and working on her other projects ( writing, producing, her UN work, etc.)

Ok, if you have just read my comments; here is what happened. I had once long comment and it went into moderation. So I started cutting and pasting and it was my last post that was causing the problem; so I reworded it. Have no idea what it was that went into moderation. Wanted to get it posted. Don’t know if the info about Kate Middleton wanting to meet Angelina is factual, but several articles related that Angelina was honored when she heard, but due to conflicting schedules she would not be back in the states in time – so she called Kate to explain they agreed to meet in London at a later time.

mk04, ITAWY and I also think that the way Brad and Angie thought 4 or 5 years ago has changed because of the children. The children are older now, the twins could be or soon to be out of diapers and easier to travel with. I also think that their 3 day rule of not being together has changed. They can be in different states and maybe be together on long weekends.
Mary Ann: i think that its ridiculous anyway that many people think they have lied because they do not stick to their goals – for example- not being apart for more than three days. i think they do try to not be apart for too long, but every working person with family knows how hard it is to scedule such things. and i see no harm in being apart for some time, on the contrary things can get done more swiftly when people can concentrate on it. you are right, the kids are bigger now and its no problem to travel often. my parents travelled alot when i was a baby. we started travelling when i was 5 months old. i don’t even remember most of it, but today i am happy they did it.

I kind of agree w/ rosie huntington whitely, except the part she is just known as brad pitt’s lady, i guess in rosie’s point of view maybe. Like phoebe, i strongly disagree with that, becoz wheither she is w/ brad pitt or not, she is still known as “ANGELINA JOLIE” to the world ,most specially for her tireless global humanitarianism. Likewise with brad pitt, he is still known as “Brad PITT” ,but most of the world knows they’re together.
on another note all these folks who’s mentioning that they like to be jolie or her successful career, shld. take note that all her achievements and longevity are a combo of everything. It takes more than kicking azz and glamour to be a real movie star.Also jolie has a unique appeal that only identifies as her own w/c captivates everyone from her detractors,haters, admirers and etc. So i think there’s only one jolie in this generation,until maybe one day one of her kid will follow that route and posseses all her skills and capabilities.

Though I didn’t read their original source (I don’t want to give hit to Forbes’s reporter who has been always wrong with numbers), I don’t think Angie’s total earning from Salt and The Tourist was $30mil. Forbes’s writer’s source is based on HW people’s just assessment and not real number.
Oh, I have to add that even Cameron Diaz cut her usual demand from $8mil to $1mil in order to make Bad Teacher (I’m sure back-end deal will later bring her more than $10mil). Reese Witherspoon also did big cut for Water For Elephant. Forbes doesn’t assess this kind of deal. That’s why I don’t believe Forbes’s number.

I don’t think their rule of staying apart as little as possible – 3, 4 days was just a number- has changed. What happen some months ago seemed to be a unique situation that happen because NOLA was close, Brad only had to work for 3 weeks and Angelina was editing her movie. If Angelina would take break to go to NOLA it would delay her editing and mess their schedules. The consequences would be that she might not be able to go to Malta right away. And Malta is not at 2, 3 hours distance, it’s at 13 hour distance plus 9 hours.

Your talking about “The Mission”? They’re just using Brad name to get attention to the project. I serious doubt that after WWZ Brad will be working right away. It’s a long shoot it will only end by the end of October or beginning of November.
testingagain – ITAWY! I don´t think that Brad will start shooting a new movie right after WWZ is finished. I think that he´ll take couple of months of work and concentrates on his family. Maybe Angie has some new project we don´t know about coming up soon and it´ll be Brad´s turn to be with the kiddies. Who knows.

Actors plan a performance in a Sarajevo theater where they will count out loud to 8,372 — the number of victims of the Srebrenica massacre.
The counting last year took them over five hours — their way of driving home the magnitude of the crime. This year Sarajevans are invited to join the 44 actors Sunday night and count with them until the early hours of Monday, July 11.
