Over the weekend, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt attended the Producers Guild Awards; Brad was a nominee, while Angelina walked away a winner with the Stanley Kramer Award for In the Land of Blood and Honey. Yay Angie!
While I’m still considering her dress at the Golden Globes last week to be my favourite of the awards season – so far! – I do love the Michael Kors dress that Angelina wore to the PGAs. The lace is very elegant while the slit is tastefully sexy. The whole look screams “va-va-voom!”
Meanwhile Brad ditched Tom Ford for a change and wore a Gucci suit instead. Although I kind of liked the look with the cane, I am definitely glad that his injury has healed enough for him to be able to walk around without it again. For some reason Brad’s hair in these photos reminds me of his portrayal of Louis in Interview With the Vampire.

Sherry – thanks for posting these new pics of Brad and Angie at the PGAs! I just love Angie´s dress. And my God does Brad look HOT! He has gotten rid of the cane but I read somewhere that he has to go through some rehab and has to wear a brace for a month. Just love the way these two are still looking at each other so lovingly after almost seven years together. The haters can say whatever they want about this beautiful couple but these two are here to stay. I can easily imagine these two growing old together watching their children and grandchildren to grow up. God bless the JP family 4ever!

The more I look at these pics the more I see Angie´s mum in her. The older Angie gets the more she looks like Marcheline. Can easily imagine what Viv will look like when she grows up. Shi will probably be a perfect mix of both of her parents but Viv is gonna be all Angie. There is this interesting new interview from Canadian Hello! Magazine in jjb. Definitely worth reading. In the interview Angie tells how Viv has changed her. She tells that Viv´s favorite color is pink in all its shades and that thanks to Viv she, too, has began to love that color. She says that as a little girl she didn´t relate to that color at all. And that Viv has brought a girly side of her up too.

I love the gown and the way they both look. They are the power couple IMO. I have a feeling that this award has made Angie more proud than a acting award would. So proud of her.

Angie sure is even prouder of this award than she is of any other award she´s won or will win in the future. But like she´s said many times recently she´s first mum and then come the careers as an actress and a director. Amazing to look at the new pic of Angie with Knox and Pax. Just the other day she and Brad were at an award show and the next day Angie was all in her mum-mode fixing Knox´s shoe while shopping.
I just can´t stop looking at these pics. When I look at these it brings one thing into my mind. I think that Shi and Knox are all Brad and Angie together and Viv is all Angie. And what I think is really funny to me is that Mad and Pax could easily be their dad´s Asian mini-mes. They both are very handsome. And Zee could be her mum´s dark-skinned version. Sometimes I can see Angie´s smile on Zee´s expressive little face.
Can’t for anything like what Angie’s wearing this time around. Just looked cheap/odd/’not quite there’. The neckline. The material. The hem! (– as the Bingley-sisters cried out in Jane Austen’s P&P
heh…). And the very visible, white bra-strap at the back… I shall say no more with regards to that dress. I’d admit the Golden Globe-gown had a better chance of growing in liking than this one. Had THAT just been worn by Angie… flowing, liquid black, beautifully cut, and with Angie’s build and penchant for wearing corsets it would have made her look out of this world! *muses on*

Casi I doubt it (although I would be happy if she was)because she is supposed to start a film(a dramatic thriller w/ Luc Beeson) in April or May. Also when Angie is in the early stages of pregnancy she tends to wear clothes that conceal the bump. She has always had a pouch since giving birth that’s what the tabs always focus on when they are on their baby bump watch. We will see what she wears to the SAG’s on Sunday. Re Brad’s knee he told Enews (Mark Malkin at the PGA’s) he has to wear a brace for a month and then he has to do rehab.

BTW, the undergarment barely seen thru the dress is most probably flesh colored but the bright lights of the flashes distorts it. There’s no hiding anything under those lights. She wouldn’t wear a white bra under a black garment that you can see thru and go on the red carpet!

Casi — lol, I w a s rather baffled over the ‘white bra’ showing at the back. I mean, they h a v e been on red carpets for long enough. I think you might be right though; flesh coloured, but the flashing camera lights just exposed everything even more. Still though… there are some very advanced underwear that keep things in place without showing (backless, strapless, even a specific sort of breast-cup-tape-thingy etc. – nothing ever needs to be ‘out there’). Oh well.
As to the old pregnant/pouch-peek-a-boo-thing; she wore a corset under her GGs-gown. I’m not an expert on pregnancy, but would doubt that it would be okay to squish a fetus into a corset. Doesn’t sound too comfy for either party
The mind boggles at the very idea of them managing even more children at this stage (the young ‘uns are still so little). Perhaps later – it’s their decision, one never knows. All that aside, I do wonder though; if they were to have more children, when would they have time together at the ‘autumn of their lives’? They’d have to be raising children till at least one of them would be in his late 60s

The ‘pouch-sighting’ just reminded me of a somewhat telling/poignant statement of Vanessa Paradis recently – as an answer to all the usual rumours surrounding her and JohnnyDepp:
“You know, when I eat three peas, I’m pregnant. When I visit a city, I’m buying a house. [...] In the winter I separate, in the summer I marry. It’s been fifteen years since I’ve been getting married every year. In addition I have to answer all these rumours!”

I kind of thought the same thing about her stomach in the black skirt. It could have just been the angle, but it does look full. And, just an idea… the white bra strap I’m SURE was just a glare. I think she would wear supportive foundational wear even under that dress if she was pregnant rather than any kind of fashion tape. (Then again, maybe she wouldn’t wear that dress if she was pregnant.) I think she might be because they have hinted it might happen and usually they just say “no.”

I don’t understand all the fuss (and hateful comments) (not on this site, of course) about Shiloh’s hair. She’s a little girl. I remember reading one of Angie’s interview she said that Shiloh likes to dress like a boy and wants to be like her brothers. Angie is just allowing her to express herself which is fine. I remember when my daughter was 2 1/2 years old she wanted to choose her own clothes, she didn’t want me to pick her clothes for her. I coudn’t understand this, I did have a little hard time with it because I was thinking she is only 2 1/2 I think I am the one to pick her clothes for her. Well, it so happened I had a friend who was a therapist and she told me that it was quite normal and to allow her to pick her clothes. Angie is letting Shiloh be herself. I wish these hateful people would leave this family alone, especially the kids. They are so innocent and really do not deserve this attack. I guess it’s a good thing Angie does not read these trashy magazines or the hateful commennts.

I’m very happy for Brad. Because of new Academy rule, Oscar bloggers were saying nominated films would be 7~8 at most. So I was worrying for TOL (Moneybal was a sure thing) but it resulted with 9 nominees after all and TOL easily in.
I think it is wonderful and to be commended that Angie and Brad let Shiloh who she wants and is intended to be. I like it very much that she is not so girly and princessy. On the other hand I can not help myself wishing to see this beautiful girl with a little bit longer hair and may be not “girly” clothes, but girl clothes.
None of our business, I know. And she is who she is. Still…….

Brad Pitt’s New Orleans Charity Gala Sets All-Star Guest List
Rihanna, Sheryl Crow, the Neville Brothers and Seal will perform at the event for Make It Right, while guests include Sean Penn, Kevin Spacey, Spike Lee, Blake Lively, Bennett Miller and Djimon Hounsou.The stars will be out in New Orleans on March 10 for Brad Pitt’s Make It Right charity event, which will raise funds to build sustainable, affordable homes for New Orleans’ families who lost everything to Hurricane Katrina.
Pitt and Ellen DeGeneres will host the event, which will feature performances by Rihanna, Sheryl Crow, the Neville Brothers and Seal. Host Committee members for the event include Djimon Hounsou, Spike Lee, Blake Lively, Bennett Miller, Chris and Jada Paul, Sean Penn and Kevin Spacey. Randy Jackson and Wendell Pierce will co-host the performance event. Parks and Recreation star Aziz Ansari will host the after-party. The charity gala at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans will not only raise funds for Hurricane Katrina victims, but will also promote Make It Right’s work to provide sustainable housing in Newark, NJ and Kansas City, MO for disabled veterans and disadvantaged communities.
Pitt, who is featured as THR’s cover story, created his Make It Right Foundation in 2007, and through it began building environmentally friendly homes at a competitive price. He organized 21 architectural firms to construct 150 single-family houses and duplexes in New Orleans and gave millions in donations.
He marvels at the result, having seen poor families living healthy lives with manageable bills. “It’s remarkable,” he told THR, “and now we want to take what we’ve learned and expand to other parts of the U.S. and abroad.”
Regarding the devastation in the Ninth Ward, Pitt felt “there was a responsibility to make it right, which was not being answered wholly, so I decided to make that a focal point and help families return home — and in the process we started discovering the inadequacies in low-income housing, that it actually keeps a family trapped at a low-income level. Fascinated, as OriginalJPF commented, I think that was the crux of the matter: it was not what you said so much but rather how you expressed it and then you brought Sunny into the fray when those past issues really weren’t relative. So it did sound like you were angry. I think most of us consider the fact that Brad actually admitted they want to get married put an entirely different spin on the topic and was in fact, ‘new news’. You have been a contributing member here for sometime and your input is appreciated. I think we all just want to be able to agree to disagree amicably and offer our comments even when differing, with respect to others. Every once and while we have these conflicts, I too have been in the middle of some. But those of us, like you and me, who have been here for awhile have developed a sort of comraderie even though we’ve never met and we get past them. So too, this shall pass.

I don’t think Fascinated by Angie was angry but may be she could choose other words when she responded to someone who left a link to HW Reporter’s interview article. People has different interest in JPS and we can respect the diversity of our interest. Some fan may think HWReporter’s article is boring but other fan may think it’s very interesting and informative.
Honestly I didn’t find any particulary new things in the article but that’s because my main interest in B&A is their charity and films and I don’t pay enough attention to the private part of their lives as much as some other fans do.
JP fans’s interest in them is diverse. What I was most drawn recently was their White House visit and 40 minutes talk with Obama and Biden. Zana said it was very practical one. Biden represents CFR’s foreign policy and do you know his strong interest and involvement in Bosnia’s post-BosnianWar politics ? This is just an example of our diversity of fandom.

I didn’t know how Angie is sometimes chatty and bubbly and I was a little bit surprised when I saw her so chatty toward Almodovar. She just saw him when she was expressing her admiration toward him and his film work.

There was a cute preview clip on ET last night of the CBS Sunday morning show. Brad mentioned the kids were wondering why they are not married since all their friends parents are married. The interviewer asked what do you say to them Brad said he told we will get married. He also said the kids say “Give mommy a ring , Daddy. I can’t find this clip online. The clips online are Re Moneyball and tree of Life. Well I have my DVR set to tape CBS Sunday Morning and SAG awards. BTW ITA the Hollywood Reporter interview is the first time Brad has ever mentioned wanting/thinking about getting married.I think it is interesting that both Brad and Angie started to get involve with charity and stopped self destructive behavior(i.e drugs) when they witnessed poverty/war / ethnic strife(Brad in Morocco,Angie in Sierre Leone- I think). They both realized how fortunate they were when confronted with people who had so little.Lastly I was struck by the quote from an executive familiar with their foundation, “Yo have no idea how much money they give way. It’s millions and millions and most people never hear about it”

Good morning ladies, you may already know this but just in case Brad will be on the Daily Show on Wednesday, Feb. 1st. I just set my DVR.
Brad will be recording Inside the Actors Studio on January 31 (that is the day Clooney’s show will air). Not sure when it will air.
